Mustang GT
The knockout Mustang GT arms you with the award-winning, aluminum-block 4.6L 3-valve SOHC V8 — serving up a full-on 300 hp and a streetscorching 320 lb.-ft. of torque. More to the point, 0–60 is achieved in a scant 4.9 seconds.* A 5-speed manual is standard finger food; the 5-speed automatic transmission is optional. Signature V8 thunder is channeled through mandrel-bent 2.5" dual-exhaust pipes, which employ a crossover balance tube and stainless steel exhaust pipes.

Mustang Packages
The wildly popular V6 Pony Package provides optional pizzazz. A speeding Pony and blazing fog lamps are corralled in a chrome grille bezel. Tri-bar Pony emblems are stationed on each front fender and the 17" painted-aluminum wheels, boasting machined-aluminum rims and Z-rated tires. Rocker stripes repeat the “MUSTANG” message etched in chrome on the front floor mats. ABS, Traction Control and 2 stabilizer bars round things out. Something new: The exclusive-to Canada V6 Appearance option (shown above) makes tracks with Pony-capped 18" polished forged-aluminum wheels, over-the-top racing stripes and a metallic fuel door for emphasis.

Paying tribute to the highly prized ’68 GT California Special (GT/CS), today’s version flaunts a front fascia with a prominent air intake and low chin spoiler. There’s a slick pair of side scoops, mid-body GT/CS stripes and 18" polished aluminum wheels. The rear fascia integrates a race-worthy diffuser, while the exhaust brandishes rolled tips. Inside, Dark Charcoal leather-trimmed seats are contrasted with Dove or Parchment leather inserts. The GT/CS poised here optionally wields the GT Appearance Package’s awesome hood scoop.

Mustang Performance
Every Mustang touts a finely honed, race-inspired architecture. While output is taken to the extreme on the Shelby GT500, it shares underpinning fundamentals with its stablemates. On Mustang GT and V6, the MacPherson strut front suspension includes custom shock valving and extra-strong reverse “L” lower control arms. The 3-link, solid-axle rear suspension houses outboard-mounted shocks and a Panhard rod to optimally manage all the brute force. Of course, there comes a time when all those fast moves must come to a halt. The ABS enhanced GT sees to it with dual-piston aluminum calipers and 12.4" ventilated front rotors.

Mustang Enhancements
Ambient Lighting (displayed left) raises the fun factor. This new special effect adds an arresting LED glow to the front cupholders and all 4 footwells — change out 7 different colours. The Interior Upgrade Package option (pictured above) also allows you to control instrument illumination: Select from an amazing 125 hues with MyColor™ lighting.
